Apples and Cinnamon

Apple + Cinnamon – already the scent of this combination makes us dream of freshly baked apple strudel! And as we’re such big fans, we couldn’t help but create our own edition of this traditional recipe. The result is fully vegan and organic – a juicy, healthy bar of apple strudel for every day!


Dried apples improve digestion and immune system and have substantial antioxidant properties. One of their main benefits is the dietary fiber content that comes from pectin. Dissolved in the intestine, pectin absorbs toxins and helps to discharge them from the body. Dried apples are also a good source of vitamins that benefit your health. They are rich in vitamins B, vitamins A, C and E that keep the skin and bones strong and healthy, as well as elements such as calcium, potassium, phosphorus, folic acid, and iron.

Valued for their slightly sweet taste, hazelnuts are extremely rich in vitamin E that makes them one of the highest natural sources of antioxidants, while they are a rich source of folic acid and fiber. For their high content of minerals like manganese, potassium, calcium, copper, zinc, iron, magnesium and selenium, hazelnuts could be one of the most important sources energy during the day.

There’s a reason that dates are being called ‘bread of the desert’: Those frugal fruits contain loads of vitamins from the groups A and B, essential amino acids, minerals and antioxidants and – after getting dried - oddly the amount of proteins is 10 times higher. Presumably, it is the oldest spice in the world and has been prized for its medicinal properties for thousands of years. It is rich in calcium, potassium, manganese, iron, vitamin A, fiber, flavones. Concerning its antioxidant properties, among all spices, cinnamon is the clear winner. The powerful essential oils of cinnamon are known for their antimicrobial properties. It stimulates metabolism and regulates blood sugar levels.
