Row vegan bar rosehip and chocolate

Rose hip & Chocolate

Amara Rose hip has the quirkiest personality among all representatives of our brand, slightly grumpy and fastidious due to the sour taste of the rose hip.

Why rose hip? Everyone is talking about superfoods lately - chia, quinoa, maca. Exotic new ingredients, all of them with proven benefits. However, there are local products with similar properties, real Bulgarian superfoods. Rose hip for example, is 10 times richer in vitamin C than the goji berry fruit.

We tried to create numerous recipes with rose hip flour. It proved almost impossible to find the right one.

Finally we came with the golden recipe by combining rose hip with golden cherry. We added hazelnuts, dates and our favourite cacao butter, all this covered with true vegan dark chocolate. This way the sour taste of the base blends with the bittersweet taste of the chocolate icing.

Amara Rose hip is the perfect dessert for people who don’t like sweet things to be too sweet.

Ingredients

Valued for their slightly sweet taste, hazelnuts are extremely rich in vitamin E that makes them one of the highest natural sources of antioxidants, while they are a rich source of folic acid and fiber. For their high content of minerals like manganese, potassium, calcium, copper, zinc, iron, magnesium and selenium, hazelnuts could be one of the most important sources energy during the day.

There’s a reason that dates are being called ‘bread of the desert’: Those frugal fruits contain loads of vitamins from the groups A and B, essential amino acids, minerals and antioxidants and – after getting dried - oddly the amount of proteins is 10 times higher. Additionally dates are extremely rich in iron. After the consumption of dates, a rise of energy, as well as an increased concentration can be observed. Dates lower the level of harmful cholesterol in the human body and strengthen the immune system.

High in flavonoids, rosehip flour has a powerful antioxidant effect. It contains pectin that helps the digestion and is valued for the high content of vitamin C, and vitamins A, K, E. A great source of essential fatty acids.

Our cacao butter is getting extracted directly from cacao beans, being cold pressed to preserve their main valuable substances. This naturally hard vegetable fat is a great choice as a base for our products, as it is a very persistent and preserves its qualities, even when other fats might become stale. Besides its stability, cocoa butter has various other great qualities: being rich in antioxidants and fatty acids, it’s said to act regenerating on the human body, affecting our health and beauty in a positive way.

Dried golden cherries are rich in fibers (in the form of pectin) and minerals (calcium, iron, potassium, and copper). Their anthocyanins concentration makes them a potent antioxidant.
